School and Sports Physicals

At OhioHealth Primary Care Physicians, formerly Gahanna Primary Care, our goal for your school, sports or camp physical is to protect your child’s health by:

  • Ensuring that he or she can safely participate in sports-related activities
  • Screening for and addressing any potential illness or conditions that may limit or restrict activity or performance
  • Identifying and helping to prevent any potential health risks or injuries that may develop as a result of participating in the activity
  • Optimize your child’s potential in his/her sport

As your child’s primary care physician, we are also able to discuss other important health and safety topics at this time including any chronic medical problems or any health issues or habits you would like help with such as acne, nutrition or injury prevention tips.

The physical takes about 15 minutes and OhioHealth Primary Care Physicians can bill your child’s health insurance. Any of our well-qualified physicians can perform your child’s sports physical and provide sports specific counseling.

Our physicians understand the physical, mental and emotional demands of student athletes.

OhioHealth Primary Care Physicians will help your student athlete participate and enable him or her to maximize their athletic talents.
